Kubanskaya
Kubanskaya refers to the Cossacks of the Kuban Valley which is in the Kuban Cossack homeland. It occupies the Kuban Steppe and the valley of the Kuban River on the eastern shore of the Black Sea officially in the Krasnodar Krai (Russian: Краснода́рский край, Krasnodarsky kray) which is a federal subject of Russia (a krai), located in the Southern Federal District. It is also the name of a Russian, flavoured brand of vodka or nastoyka with a touch of lemon. 40% alcohol. Bottle volume 50cl. The original Kubanskaya was produced by the renowned Kristall vodka factory in Moscow, the origin of Stolichnaya vodka. Unfortunately, around the turn of the century, Kristall ceased production of Kubanskaya. Kubanskaya vodka is still for sale in Russian stores, but is produced by less-known factories. While the taste resembles the taste of the original Kristall brand, connaisseurs are able to taste the difference. Kubanskaya is best known for its pleasant taste and the relatively low hangover risk.
